Behind the Brand

Step Into our New Open Sell Layout

“A journey of a thousand miles begins with a fabulous pair of shoes.”

Want to start your shopping trip off on the right foot? You’ll love our open sell shoe layout. We have been on a journey to roll out open sale shoes, testing the layout in Men’s and Kids’ with great success. We are thrilled to roll this customer-friendly layout into Women’s shoes.

The initial shoppers in Salisbury, N.C. fell in love with the flexibility, convenience, etc. One customer asked if we added brands - spoiler alert: we did not – because “it is so much easier to shop now.” To continue to improve, we are using customer feedback to properly layout the inventory so customers enjoy the ease of the experience.

What does this look like? Depending on a store’s volume and resources, customers will shop 100% open sell, 70/30, or 50/50. With rows of shoes to peruse, gondolas house many of our top brands. If you’re in a hurry, you can view the easy- to-read risers that point to flats, heels, boots and more. So, speed up your trip by finding your style in your size.

Need help? No worries! Our associates are ready to lend a helping hand. Plus, trend tables highlight the open sell environment making it is easy to see new trends. Customers will continue to see a branded presence as some key brands will remain full service.

We’re confidently putting our best foot forward as we roll this out to over 100 stores across our 16-state footprint (find your store below).
