Leslie, a Charlotte, North Carolina native, earned her Master of Social Work from Norfolk State University after earning her Bachelor of Arts from North Carolina State University.
Outside of Belk, she enriches her community and communities overseas having served as President of the Board of Directors for Teen Health Connection, a nonprofit healthcare practice that provides medical and mental healthcare, prevention and health education services for adolescents. She also served as a board member for the Mecklenburg Youth Drug-Free Coalition and has been an active participant in Shoulder to Shoulder medical brigades in Ecuador, which works with physicians to provide free medical care in high poverty areas.
She and her husband Jason have three children and a rambunctious dog, Waldo. Leslie enjoys traveling, trying new foods and spending time with family and friends.
As our Chief Human Resources Officer, Leslie leads a team dedicated to investing in our people so they can invest in their teams, their work and their communities. Her team focuses on talent, development and fostering a high-performing organization.
Leslie was a Director of Leadership Development at McLaughlin Young, Inc. She also consulted in Learning and Organizational Development by helping leaders and organizations to advance their human capital strategy, identify and develop talent, and focus on their organizational health. As an entrepreneur, Leslie launched and led a consulting business where she leveraged her passion for coaching to work with executives on understanding the shadow they cast and leading through change.
