Julie grew up in a small farming community in Sidney, IL where her parents owned a local business. With entrepreneurship in her upbringing, she determined that marketing would be the focus of her future career.
She earned her Bachelor of Science, Business Administration, from the University of Illinois, graduating with highest honors, and went on to receive her Master of Business Administration from Washington University in St. Louis.
As our Chief Customer Officer, Julie’s responsible for leading our organization to a deeper understanding of our customers, building our brand, driving revenue, and developing the best customer experience across every touchpoint.
As the former Chief Marketing Officer of La Quinta Inns and Suites, Julie played a key role in the repositioning and growth of the La Quinta brand with industry first digital innovations, a long running, impactful ad campaign, and growth of the loyalty program. With a broad marketing background, she has a proven track record of leveraging analytics and insights to build brands, improving the customer experience, and growing customer loyalty across a variety of industries including food, durable goods, hotels and restaurants.
